Babcock NZ's Coaching Methodolgy

Babcock Coaching & Training uses a coaching methodology based in Psychology, Accelerated Learning, Transactional Analysis, Neuro-Linguistic Programming and Hypno-therapy designed by Leanne Babcock.

The methodology doesn't use a rigid structure or linear steps that each client has to go through. Her management coaching methodology is based on strategies and principles that access both the conscious and the unconscious mind, allowing her to work intuitively with clients and to tailor the coaching to the real needs, the specific objectives and the style of the client.

Why have coaching?

Why would any of our best athletes not be without coaching? Because if they want to excel they know they can't do it on their own. So why? Because human beings can't see themselves. Each one of us has ineffective habits. Given that we are unconscious to most of the things that we do, we often don't realize that we are doing something that isn't effective.

How does coaching & management coaching work?

Coaching and management coaching sessions are weekly for approximately one hour. At the first session, we discern specific objectives that the coachee wants to work towards. Each session completes with certain actions to take or strategies to try out before the next session.

At each session we discuss how the strategies worked, continue conversations that keep working on fulfilling the objectives and discuss the next steps and strategies to take. The conversations and strategies are part of breaking down ineffective habits in thinking and behaviour and putting in place more effective and productive habits.

The DiSC ® Profiling System is often used to help uncover unhelpful behavioural habits and to point out specific desired behaviours to develop.
